You Are More Than Your Feed

Truth is I have felt such a HUGE pressure to be constantly posting on social media. But lately I just haven’t been feeling it... ⁣

⁣There came a time when Instagram switched from being fun and creative to being an obligation. I found myself constantly thinking about “What am going to post on Instagram today? I gotta stay consistent!” ⁣

⁣For some you might think I’m crazy. But the other thousands of you out there who post daily and are trying to make a career through social media know what I’m talking about. ⁣

⁣The algorithm is always changing, trends are always new... it’s like a never-ending marathon trying to keep up and stay active! ⁣

⁣I have felt such a pressure to perform that I haven’t actually been present and truly enjoying this space. ⁣

⁣And I just can’t do it anymore. ⁣

— If this is you, I challenge you to take a step back and reevaluate WHY you’re here in the first place. ⁣

Are you here to engage and connect with friends? Or are you here to encourage others? ⁣

I LOVE social media, so don’t think this is me giving up or telling you to give it up. BUT I am changing the way I socialize and create content on here. ⁣

— Now I want you to ask yourself one more question, “Does Instagram leave you happy? Or does it fill you with discontent and frustration? ⁣

💥 Maybe you’ve found yourself trapped in the comparison game and quite honestly feeling like your life doesn’t live up to everyone else’s lives on Insta? ⁣

💥 Maybe you’ve found yourself with a huge credit card debt because you purchased EVERYTHING you could from the Nordstrom Sale. ⁣

💥 Maybe you’ve tried countless diets to look like the girls who have probably spent an hour on Facetune trying to  drop a quick 50 pounds. ⁣

If that’s the case, this space has become toxic for you and giving yourself a break from it would be soo good for you. ⁣⁣

You are ENOUGH. BEAUTIFUL. LOVED. Just as you are. ⁣

*No Facetune needed.
