COFFEE TALK : The Best of INDY

Okay, y’all should know that I am OBSESSED with coffee. But truth be told, it’s not only about the taste of the coffee. The coffee shop has A LOT to do with it as well. I’m going to share with you my FAVORITE coffee shops in Indy for the brew and the atmosphere.

QUILLS

This is my go-to. Mainly because it’s so close to my home, but also because it’s just so good! There is a lot of work space and it’s usually not loud at all so I can easily focus. They are also right by the canal. I love taking a walk in the warmer months while sipping on my Quills coffee! Perfect day date.

PROVIDER INDY

I love this place for its aesthetic. It’s also open later on week nights and week ends so I’ll go here when I know ill be working longer hours. They are located off 16th Street near the Monon Trail. They do have a parking lot so you shouldn’t struggle to park, but they do keep a full house so finding a seat may be more difficult.

KAFFEINE COFFEE CO.

I often forget about this little gem. It’s located off Mass Ave in an old dock. It has super cute vibes and their Spanish Latte is THE best. Although not the easiest place to find parking, it’s definitely worth the walk.

HUBBARD AND CRAVENS

I found Hubbard and Cravens a couple years ago when I was a student at Ivy Tech. Their 49th & Penn location became my second home. The carmilla latte is literally one of the best things I’ve had. They also have a little shop in downtown which is perfect for on the go.

PEARINGS CAFE

Perfect place for working all day! They not only serve Intelligentsia coffee (which is one of my faves), but they serve some of the best food too. Their açai bowls are so good. It’s the perfect “PEAR". It’s located downtown as well, but right across from the mall parking so it’s super easy to get to.

I struggle to get motivated. Like SOO much. Thankfully I have found some tips to help me get out of that rut and get my creative juices going.

  1. The perfect coffee shop. This has soo much to do with it. It sets my mood and gets me so excited to sit down and get to work. For you, it may not be a coffee shop, but find YOUR place.

  2. Writing a list of what I want to get done. That way I can check it off one by one as I complete each item.

  3. The music. This is soo key for me. I pull up my Spotify and play the “Are and Be” playlist on their Home page. Idk why but it really gets me focused.

What gets your creativity going?! I hope you enjoyed my list of my FAVORITE places to get inspired and get work done.
